During the Fair's four days, 145,000 net square feet (14,500 net square meters) of the Javits Center will bustle with more than 24,000 interior designers, architects, retailers, designers, manufacturers, representatives, distributors, and developers. Members of the general public are welcome on Tuesday, May 18 when the ICFF is open to all comers.

More than 550 exhibitors will display contemporary furniture, seating, carpet and flooring, lighting, outdoor furniture, materials, wall coverings, accessories, textiles, and kitchen and bath for residential and commercial interiors. This assemblage of national and international exhibitors affords the chance to experience the most selective scope of the globe's finest, most creative, individual, and original avant-garde home and contract products – handily and temptingly showcased in one venue.

AIGA has invited IDSA to attend AIGA Charlotte's Eat Your Greens Sustainability
Roundtable on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 | 6:30 pm at the LEED silver certified ImaginOn moderate by Leigh Brinkley, brinkley design.

The roundtable is for designers and creatives of all levels and backgrounds to participatein an open forum discussion about the need for more environmentally- and socially-responsible design in Charlotte's ever-growing city. We ask that each attendee please bring three questions and/or topics on sustainable design to share and discuss with the group. The format will be set up as a place to exchange sustainable design ideas, engage in a group conversation with peers and how we can take next steps to make our design community more socially and ecologically responsible.

This event is free for our members and open to everyone, but there are only 20 spots

WHAT?
Pecha Kucha Night in Greenville is where you can come and learn about just about anything – 6 minutes and 40 seconds at a time. Seriously. Art. Medicine. Food. Graphics. Architecture. Anything under the sun.

HOW IT WORKS
Each presenter is allowed 20 images, each shown for 20 seconds each – giving 6 minutes 40 seconds of fame before the next presenter is up. This keeps presentations concise, the interest level up, and gives more people the chance to show.
